Moffett Creek to Tanner Creek
Roadbed: Paved asphalt
Distance: Approximately 1 mile
Grade: Flat except at switchbacks near Tanner Creek
Hike/Bike: A perfect hike or biking trail. Easy path and minimum altitude changes.

The entire hike/biketrail trail is continuous from the Moffett Creek Bridge to Cascade Locks. This segment links the Tanner Creek Bridge to the Moffett Creek Bridge.

Take the Bonneville Exit 40 and turn south at the stop sign. Proceed to the road that takes you to the Toothrock Trailhead parking area.

From the parking lot you can either hike/bike west to Tanner Creek and continue on to the Moffett Creek Bridge, or go east along the trail to Toothrock where you can get a magnificent view of Bonneville Dam.

To get to Moffett Creek Bridge, follow the trail west over the Tanner Creek Bridge and under Interstate 84. Gentle switchbacks on the north side of I-84 will bring you to a level path that takes you to the Moffett Creek Bridge.

The bridge was known as an engineering feat at the time of its construction in 1915. It was the longest three-hinge flat-arch bridge in the world. The 170 ft. long arch rises only 17 feet at the center.
